The status light is blinking 4 times over and over. You can hear the furnace running and you can even feel air coming out of the registers. To determine if the igniter is faulty remove the igniter and inspect. If power is getting to the blower motor but the motor does not run the motor may be burned out.

The house is cold. Well it s not cold cold it s just room temperature. As if the furnace is just recirculating the air in your house without actually heating it. There s nothing to it.

If the igniter is not cracked use a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity. Make sure that your thermostat is set to heat and not cool and ensure that the fan is set to auto. If the blower motor is burned out replace it. If the igniter fails or cracks the furnace won t heat.

This may be the case if your goodman furnace won t ignite but the light is on continuously. But it s not hot air coming out it s cold. The ignitor is not heating up and the exhaust fan is not turning on. If the igniter is cracked replace it.

Turn the circuit breaker off and on to reset an electric furnace. Lastly if your home is not weatherized your furnace might not be able to reach the temperature that you set your thermostat to. As a result your furnace will continue to run. Is this a parts problem or too much for a good rooky to handle.

First make sure that power is getting to the motor. If after doing all these things the furnace does not produce heat it might require a new igniter in pilot less furnaces. The blower motor blows air through the return vent past the heat exchanger and into the home s venting. If the burner does not ignite gas could be not reaching the burner the flame may not be lighting or the vent motor may not be running.

The igniter gets very hot and glows bright orange to light the gas burner. Simply use hvac tape to cover up any leaks and reattach any sections that have become detached.
