It s time to put the brand new garbage disposal splash guard back in the garbage disposal.
This is the tricky part.

Of course you can buy a new rubber gasket with the baffle molded in place.
If you have an old insinkerator disposal that has the rubber baffle getting all rotted out this is just the thing to fix it easy.
Just peel the old one off wipe the top of the disposal clean and snap the new one on.
Just put it back in the same place that you just removed the old one from and you will have replaced your garbage disposal splash guard.
But then you have to disconnect the plumbing and unmount the disposal from the bottom of the sink.
Then remove the drainpipe and disconnect the quick connect fitting photo 1.
If your garbage disposer is hardwired start by flipping off the circuit breaker.
Holding the heavy disposal in place while you tighten the locking ring with the screwdriver.
Stack up books or lumber to support the disposer.
