It turns on the light in the freezer and turns off the ice maker and dispenser. Wait a couple of minutes before you turn on the compressor so your refrigerator can run a diagnostic. Freezer is cool on bottom as is fridge but neither is effective. First you need to turn the cold control completely off or try unplugging the fridge.

If the defrost sensor fuse blows the defrost system will not work and the refrigerator will not defrost. If the start relay does not have continuity or if it smells burnt replace it. Use a multimeter to test the start relay for continuity between the start and run terminals. The force of one side closing sometimes pops the other door slightly ajar which can increase the temperature inside the refrigerator and the likelihood of spoilage.

If yours has a charcoal filter remove it and the temp should return to normal. If the refrigerator doors are opened too frequently or too long allows warm air to enter the product and therefore causes it to run more often.

If the compressor won t run the freezer will not cool. If the refrigerator ice maker is not working the door switch might be defective.
